My favorite bible passage is Matthew 6:25:29.
Do not worry about your life, what you shall eat nor what you shall drink;
Nor about your body, what you shall put on.
Is not life more than food, the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, they do not reap nor sow nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they?
By worrying, which of you can add one single hour to your lifespan?
Observe how the lilies of the field grow;
they do not toil nor spin, yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you?
... [Have] faith!
Do not worry, saying What shall we eat, what shall we drink, or what shall we wear? ... Your Father knows you need these things. But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness and all will be added to you.
That is what Jesus said about worrying.

Part 23
We are almost finished with this book!
My favorite phrase from this chapter is as follows:
I just love that thought. I think I will go meditate on it.
Stay tuned for our grand finale (Part 24).
Please be ready to discuss your favorite part, paragraph or sentence from the book next week.
Thank you.

The Energy Field of Words
Two weeks ago I spoke about this book, and I wanted to share this small excerpt with you from Embraced by the Light by Betty Eadie:
There are positive (light, goodness, kindness, hope, etc.) and negative (hatred, fear, selfishness, discouragement) energies.
When we internalize these energies, they become our servants, and like attracts like and we associate with others like us.
I saw how a person's words actually affect the energy field around him. The very words themselves, the vibrations in the air, they attract one type of energy or another. There is power in our thoughts. We create our surroundings by the thoughts we think. If we understood the power of our thoughts we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and our words we create our weaknesses and our strengths.
It sounds like she is speaking about the Law of Attraction. Doesn't it?

Scientific Discoveries
We have now completed parts 18 and 19.
In the past few chapters we have been reading about how much progress has been made in the last 50 years and how many technological advances we are now enjoying. It's a bit ironic that the book was written 100 years ago.
(I am still wondering why my book mentions videocassettes and VCRs in part 18...)
To add to your understanding, check out the first video on this page:

Survey
There is a survey coming your way to make sure our sessions are exceeding you expectations. Please answer the survey honestly so we can make any adjustments necessary to accomodate your needs.
For example, several members have asked us to speed up the process, so we can be finished before November. How do you feel about covering 2 chapters per week? Then we would be able to complete the course in just 6 more weeks.
Thank you for answering our survey!

Tenth Session
We completed the Tenth session last week, so tihs Tuesday will be the 11th session.
Tenth session was about Abundance, the laws of nature, and cause and effect. The exercise is another visualization, emphasizing shapes and colors. The author definitely thinks that visualizing is very important. And that everyone can learn to do it, if they practice, practice, practice.
Practice makes perfect, so go for it!
Also, if you cannot be on the live call, please read the chapter and do the practice exercises in order to keep up. The course was designed to be 24 chapters for a reason. Nowadays we like everything to be short and quick. We go to weekend classes. We ask that we get out early. But the thing is, you won't master a subject unless you totally immerse yourself in it, and practice it in real life. The subect for this program, The Master Key to Wealth, is Prosperity. How can you make your life better in just 24 hours? The 24 hours of classes are spread out over 24 weeks, and the practice is every day for 15-30 minutes. All in all, that is only 30-36 hours. A small investment in time, yet if you are doing something consistently every day for 5 months, it is not possible to stay the same. You are bound to develop new habits and a new perspective. All I can say is slow and steady wins the race. Many people are jumping around from one technique to the next. Many are studying books from 100 years ago, like The Master Key System. This book is actually becoming more popular, because the principals have been proven true. So stick with it!

He was there!
Yes! Brad Yates, the EFT Wizard, was at our last meeting. He read Part 9 and then helped us process the lesson by using EFT. It was magnificient!
Jane, Jayne, and Joan were there. Jim couldn't make it. I'm not Joking!
Keep up the good work everyone! We are 33% done. We are still working on visualization, and continuing to record what we are grateful for in our gratitude journals, or just on a calendar.
I am grateful to Brad for contributing to our program. Thanks, Brad!

Gratitude
More reasons to be grateful:
1. Brad Yates will be joining us on Tuesday.
2. EILEEN CADDY said:
Gratitude helps you to grow and expands; gratitude brings you laughter into your life and into the lives of all those around you.
3. BRAD YATES will be on our NEXT session, Part 9.

Sixth Session
We had our sixth session this week.
The homework for this lesson is quite pleasant. You have to focus on and memorize the face in a portrait photo for about 10 minutes then close your eyes and recreate the picture in as much detail as possible. We practiced on the call with a random photo of Brad Pitt. You can use any photo you want!
And speaking of Brad, I communicated with Brad today. Brad Yates, that is. He is going to be on a call with us in a few weeks!!! We hope everyone will be there, on August 23!

Fifth Session
July is just about over and we have completed five sessions already!
The fifth part is about heredity and environment.
The homework is a little challenging. We are now learning to visualize a place in detail. It should be a specific place we have been, with pleasant associations. We have 15-30 minutes to remember and fill in all the details, and enjoy the memories associated with it. I'm finding it difficult to stay focused on the one specific place, and to fill in all the details.

Fourth Session
The reading is getting a little more intense. And it is very important for everyone to do the daily exercises. The Master Key appears to be a type of meditation, which is used to discipline the Mind. According to Charles Haanel and some others at the time, like Helen Wilmans and Wallace Wattles, the Mind is creative, so we can manifest whatever we want, if we can train our minds to dwell on positive thoughts.
It's an amazing concept. I am looking forward to seeing how the method develops. It seems he adds something to the same basic exercise in each Lesson.
The exercise this time does not feel very different for me this week, as sitting still, quieting the mind, and relaxing the muscles, doesn't leave me room to experience any troubling or distracting emotions. But maybe its because I have meditated in the past. But I am committed to using this method for 20 more lessons!
So far I have seen results. I have 3 job offers and a student interested in taking another class I offer. So things have turned around for me. Prior to taking this course, I was unemployed for 6 months and struggling financially. Chapter 3 says not to dwell on or talk about adverse conditions, so enough said.
Please post a comment on the exercise and lesson below (just click the word comments, which is a link)
Also PLEASE connect to the meeting by 6:45 pm. A link will be sent to you at 6:30 pm. THANK YOU!

Third Session
We had our third meeting this week.
Things are getting interesting. I learned something about the subconscious mind and anatomy. Charles Haanel says that the subconscious mind is housed in the solar plexus, which is a bundle of nerves located between the stomach and the spinal column. I had to look up a diagram of the spinal column with organs, so I could appreciate his comments.
The conscious mind is housed, or maybe connected is a better word, to the brain, which is what I expected.
I find this very interesting because of the chakras. I read in one book that the intellect was located at the third chakra, or solar plexus, but most others said the sixth chakra, or third eye. Seems there are at least 2 kinds of intellect, so both can be true. Think about it, when you have a "gut feeling" about something, where is that located?!
Anyway, something has been added to the homework: relaxation. I have recorded a progressive relaxation for everyone to use. The link was sent out yesterday. Please try it and post comments below this post.
I will also make this 9 minute progressive relaxation session available for purchase presently.

Second Session
We had our second session last night!
We encountered another problem with the webinar software. I will call their customer support today to straighten it out, or we may use a different system next week. Stay tuned to find out. Also if you join a meeting and can't hear anything, check the chat box to see if there is a new meeting number.
Please make sure to use a headset when listening to the call. If you can hear voices coming from your speakers, it creates an echo. We are working on getting the recordings cleaned up and available for the members to listen to. Each week we read one chapter or part, so we have read Part One and Part Two so far. Each part has an exercise. So the homework for this week is to:
Sit still and inhibit thoughts for 15 to 30 minutes per day. Also keep a gratitiude journal or calendar and make an entry every day. We will review the homework at the beginning of each call. You can also post a comment after this article about your homework successes (click on the pink comment link below right).

Homework
That homework sounded like it would be easy.
But here are my experiences so far:
Wednesday. I was at the karate school with my son, when I realized I hadn't done my homework. So I thought I would try it there. I wasn't taking a class, so I could just sit still on the sidelines for 15-30 minutes, right?! Wrong! First I started thinking about which parts of my body would be allowed to move. I had to breathe, right? So the midsection and chest would be okay to move. Now what about my eyes? Should I close them? Or would it be okay to blink? Do I have to stare at one point, or can I actually move my eyes, too. I figured since I was in a public place it would be better to have eyes open and not look like I was sleeping. ... OK. This is easy Right? ... Wrong! I move, then look at my watch. It's been maybe 4 or 5 minutes. OK try again. OOPS moved my foot... OOPS had an itch... OOPS maybe I should try with my eyes closed. OOPS, what was that, I had to open my eyes and see what was going on. So class was over and I didn't sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time.
Thursday. I'm supposed to find a comfortable place at home and try this at the same time every day. How about the recliner? Get comfortable. Close eyes. I checked the clock 5 minutes later, but then got back on track. 40 minutes later, I check the time. I know I was still for at least 40 minutes, the only problem is I fell asleep. I don't think that was supposed to happen.
Friday. I return to the recliner at the same time as yesterday. This time I need to sit still AND stay awake. I almost nod off, but the timer alerts me. It's a good idea to set a timer, so I don't have to peek at the clock, AND I cant really fall asleep. Mission accomplished.
Also, I did think of things to be grateful for every morning.

"This is the process by which failure is changed to success. Thoughts of courage, power, inspiration, harmony, are substituted for thoughts of failure, despair, lack, limitation and discord, and as these thoughts take root, the physical tissue is changed and the individual sees life in a new light, old things have actually passed away, ... he is reconstructed and is filled with joy, confidence, hope, energy."
